| However, I don't see how you got all the from "why race if you cannot afford parts?". I am trying to determine the most appropriate clutch for my situation, given my budget. Obviously I can afford some sort of clutch, or I wouldn't be asking the question. His question implies that I cannot afford any parts. Because I cannot afford to buy a $3000 carbon clutch does not mean that I cannot afford, for example, the RPS Max 6 puck. I think the philosophy of "if you can't buy the most expensive part out there for your application, you shouldn't do it" will get you nowhere. I am not disagreeing that it takes money to go fast... yet I guess I just don't understand his point. Not being able to justify $3000 for a clutch does not mean that there is no feasible way to drag race. Basically, from his commment, I got that he was trying to be an ass, not that he was trying to help. My question was in regards to which clutch I should choose, given my budget and aspirations for the car. If his answer was that there is no clutch that I can afford that will work for my application, then he should have just said that, no?
